EMERGENCY CARE
If we are closed, we recommend using the emergency animal clinic located at 86 W. Juniper Avenue in Gilbert, Arizona. This street intersects Gilbert Road south of Guadalupe Road. Their phone number is 480 497 0222. You may also call VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona at 480 898 0001 located at 1648 N. Country Club Road between McKellips and the 202.
DISCLAIMER: We have done our best to work with these local emergency clinics to ensure that your pet has access to quality emergency care when we are not available. We have provided contact information for Drs. Wright and Johnson to the emergency clinic so that the veterinarians on-duty may call us for advice on our patients. However, please understand that many veterinarians that work in emergency clinics are only trained to provide limited care to get your exotic pet stable and then transfer it to us when we are open. Emergency clinic veterinarians may not feel comfortable working with exotic pets and may refuse to provide care for your pet. If that is the case, you may need to look online or in the yellow pages to find an emergency clinic that has a doctor on duty who will see your pet.
The following links will take you to a map of these hospitals. Please note that there are other emergency clinics throughout the Valley. You may find one closer to you.

Please note that the veterinarians at the emergency clinic are not employees of Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital. We do want feedback on the care that was provided but we cannot make any adjustment to fees that were charged for your emergency visit at the other hospital.
We regret that we cannot offer emergency care for our patients after hours at this time. We offer appointments 7-days-a-week so that we are never more than 12 to 16 hrs away from being able to examine your pet.
